Board of Directors

Our Board members represent different aspects of the mission community. Many have participated in our programs or have been partners in mission.

Sr. Annete Adams, SND – Served as a missionary for the past 23 1/2 years in Uganda, Tanzania, and Kenya. Currently, she is a volunteer at Doors of Hope Geauga empowering families toward healthy, independent living. She is also a spiritual director and works with the SND Associates.

Billy Byrnes – Currently serves as the Director of Campus Ministry at Junipero Serra High School, an all-boys Catholic high school. He and his wife, Kristin, served with Volunteer Missionary Movement in San Nicolas, Nicaragua for two years.

Mary Carlton – Currently a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Chicago working with individuals who have experienced a variety of challenging and life changing experiences, Mary served as an international post graduate volunteer with Rostro de Cristo in Ecuador, an experience that has informed and influenced her current work.

Mike Haasl – Mike formerly served as Global Solidarity Coordinator through the Center for Mission at the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis. He served in Kenya, and with his wife, Mickie, and two daughters, accompanying the people of a Venezuelan barrio as Maryknoll Lay Missioners.

Mike McCloskey – Mike served in southern Colorado through Volunteers in Diocesan Action, in the Dominican Republic through the Institute for Latin American Concern and in Papua New Guinea with the Volunteer Missionary Movement. Currently, Mike is a non-profit administrator in Minneapolis with MicroGrants.

Tara McKinney – Tara served in Tanzania as a Maryknoll Lay Missioner and later worked in Ethiopia, Kenya, Uganda, Malawi, Zambia, and Mozambique with Cross Catholic Outreach/Cross International. Currently, Tara accompanies women via holistic spiritual direction.

Katie Mulembe – Currently serves as the Director of International Relations and Affairs for the Casualty Actuarial Society. Prior to this, Katie spent thirteen years working closely with faith-based volunteer and mission programs at Catholic Volunteer Network and also served as a lay missioner in Zambia for three years with the Franciscan Mission Service.

Clare Pressimone – Currently engages communities in the SE United States in advocacy and community giving to end global poverty with Catholic Relief Services. She has also worked with CRS in Malawi and Afghanistan. She served in Cambodia for two years with the Salesian Lay Missioners.

Sr. Joanna Rosciszewska , CSJ – A missionary at heart and by call. She was sent to the USA to serve Polish immigrants during 1980. In 2014, she responded to the call to serve as director of the St. Joseph Worker Program of Orange, CA, a new ministry for the Sisters of St. Joseph of Orange, where she currently serves

Adam Rudin – Currently director of the Salesian Lay Missioner program, Adam served two years working with at-risk youth in Bolivia with the Salesian Lay Missioners.
