The following messages from those we serve, including workshop participants and mission sending organizations.
“Julie has been a support to our organization in so many ways throughout the years. While our relationship has been based primarily on the excellent service of the re-entry retreats (our volunteers rave about them!), what From Mission to Mission means to us is so much more. We have received support, guidance, counseling and consulting during challenging transitions. We have been so grateful for Julie’s support, insight and companionship. It is a gift and a blessing to have an organization that not only supports our volunteers, but supports us as an organization.”-Amy Escoto, Amigos de Jesus
“My name is Patrick Decker and I served with the Jesuit Volunteer Corps in Punta Gorda, Belize, for two years. I heard about From Mission to Mission while searching the web for resources available to individuals returning from international service. I did not know what to expect when I arrived on the first day of the re-entry workshop, but I consider it the most important part of my re-entry to the United States. The workshop allowed me space to process crucial aspects of my time abroad in a safe, supportive and communal environment with other recently returned volunteers. The workshop also called me to examine my life and the ways I was (and wasn’t) being true to the mission of my service experience. Julie’s presence and facilitation allowed me to feel heard and appreciated, and above all, it gave me ample opportunity to process and honor the sacredness of my service experience as I continue to integrate its lasting effects into my every day life.”–Patrick Decker, Jesuit Volunteer Corps
