Meet our Team

Katie Delaney – Katie (she/her) joins FMTM from Silver Spring, MD, is a life-long learner, collaborator, yoga-practitioner, and animal-lover with 10 years of leadership experience in the nonprofit sector. As a former volunteer who served for two years with Lasallian Volunteers in Racine, Wisconsin and one year with Good Shepherd Volunteers in Puente Alto, Chile, Katie encountered From Mission to Mission on her own re-entry retreat. The experience provided essential support to transition to her next steps, and she is thrilled to accompany others on the journey of integration. Drawing upon her work with high school students and yoga teacher training, Katie practices a facilitation style that is warm, playful, and reflective. She spent the last five years as Manager of Strategic Learning and Evaluation for Catholic Volunteer Network, and is currently pursuing her EdD in Organization and Leadership at the University of San Francisco.

JoAnn McCaffrey, DMin.  – JoAnn joins our team from Richmond, VA, and has been with us for 4 years. She is an experienced spiritual director and has taught and accompanied people from around the globe in various stages of spiritual formation and transition.  JoAnn was a member of the Daughters of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul for almost 25 years, and a missionary in the Democratic Republic of the Congo for 12 years. She taught Theological Reflection and Mission Integration for the Intercultural Ministries Department, co-directed the Hesburgh Sabbatical Program at CTU, and also worked with VMM (Volunteer Missionary Movement), founded by Edwina Gately. Before retiring and joining forces with FMTM, JoAnn worked for Bon Secours as part of their Health System Mission Leadership Team. In addition to supporting the work of FMTM, JoAnn continues to accompany others on their spiritual journeys, is a published author, considers and loves spending time with her recently adopted senior “pup” Iris.

Laura Shrode, MDIV. – Laura joins our team from Minneapolis, MN. She has been connected with From Mission to Mission (FMTM) for about 4 years, working our social media accounts and helping to facilitate virtual and in-person workshops. She participated in a year of service between college and grad school with the Colorado Vincentian Volunteers. Laura has worked in a variety of ministries, including working as a hospital chaplain for 6+ years and working with volunteer organizations accompanying young adults during and after their mission experiences. She is currently working as a Family Support Coordinator, walking with the families of organ, tissue and eye donors, while also finishing up a certificate in Spiritual Direction. Laura has a passion for hearing people’s stories, building community and traveling to new places on pilgrimage.
